Custom Design, Expertly Delivered

In July 1980, two friends who shared a deep appreciation for inspired design started Martin Albert Interiors. Their plan: to offer custom-designed pieces and custom upholstery for a wide clientele. What would set them apart is that all the work would be done on premises, in their Manhattan factory-showroom, and it would deliver on or before deadline.

More than 30 years later, one of those original partners, Al Harary, and his current partner, entrepreneur Michael Rosenthal, who joined Martin Albert nearly a decade ago, continue the tradition of producing amazing examples of “custom design, expertly delivered.” Together, they have grown Martin Albert into the New York design staple it is today. These partners, along with an expertly trained, knowledgable staff, provide excellent products, all built on premises in New York, beating expectations on both deadline and budget, and lending invaluable creative guidance to every endeavor.

Martin Albert Interiors has been repeatedly featured in New York Magazine’s “Best of New York” lists. Pieces designed and built by Martin Albert have appeared on the Today show, Jimmy Fallon, SaturdayNight Live, The Bethenny Frankel Show, Sex and the City and many more (click here to view our Specialty Portfolio). When they re-did her offices, Tyra Banks referred to Martin Albert Interiors as "the premiere designer and workshop in New York City."

For both commercial and residential custom-design needs, from window treatments to bedding, from throw pillows to upholstered headboards, from small custom pieces to entire suites of furniture, Martin Albert Interiors performs all work on site in our midtown Manhattan factory-showroom location.
